We launched Breaking Through The Lens at Cannes 2018.
While there is a lot of talk about the need for more female representation behind the camera, real change at the top levels is still lacking.
The roadblock comes at the finance stage. While there is an appetite in the market, female directors still struggle to secure budgets at the same level as their male counterparts. Breaking Through The Lens is a direct response to this problem.
It’s a unique pitching event that puts female filmmakers with feature films in late-stage development with investors who are actively looking to invest in female-led project.
